FOCUS automatically compensates for the poor speaker placement by virtually repositioning the front speakers to face the passengers and then raises the sound stage from the floor up to the passenger's ears. Once the speakers have been virtually repositioned, the V8000 spreads sound throughout the vehicle with the SRS sound. No matter where you sit, you are in the "sweet spot".

- Controls and Functions
- FOCUS LF and HF Elevation: Corrects for speaker elevation relative to speaker placement. Low frequency and high frequency elevation are up to listeners their preferences.
- SRS on/off: Push in only to bypass the SRS processing.
- Bass Compensation: Change Bass compensation level.
- Subwoofer selector: Select subwoofer output channel frequency.
- REMOTE: This terminal enables the power switch of the car stereo or tuner / deck to also turn on the unit. Connect it to the appropriate wire on the car stereo or tuner / desk. If a specific wire for this purpose is not provided, use the wire for controlling the power antenna. If that wire is already connected to the power antenna, the unit can be connected in addition. Should no power antenna wire be provided, an SPST (Single-Pole, Single-Throw) switch and a pair of wires can be connected between the remote terminal and the "+B" terminal. When the switch is closed, the unit will turn on.
- GROUND: This is the negative power input terminal. It should be connected directly to the car chassis by a short, heavy gauge wire. It is not necessary to connect this terminal to the negative battery terminal.
- +B: The +B terminal is the positive power input terminal. It should be connected to the positive (+) terminal of the car battery by the 10 gauge wire or an equivalent type. It is goods practice to add a line fuse near the battery terminal to protect the battery from a short circuit along the wire.
