Features
- Hydraulic oil pressure to the piston / pusher assembly feeds the barstock into the lathe spindle.
- The patented valve in the piston allows a controlled volume of oil to create an evenly distributed oil film between the guide tube and barstock. This allows the bar to urn without vibration nor noise.
- Rotation of the bar creates the hydrodynamic effect whereby the bar is supported and cushioned by the oil film.
- If the spindle speed is zero, the hydrodynamic support is zero and the bar rests on the feed tube.
- The revolving bar produces increased oil pressure and the bar is lifted from the bottom of the feed tube.
- With increasing speed, the hydrodynamic force increases and the bar revolves centrally.
- Oil entering the guide tube through the piston is the only way of achieving full hydrodynamic support throughout the length of the barfeed.
