Uses
MICRO-AIRE glass air media is the most widely-used HVAC media in the world. This high-loft microglass media has repeatedly been shown to provide consistent performance in real-life applications. No other media has been more thoroughly tested for both performance and safety. It can also be used in difficult high-temperature, Class-1 fire-rated, or oil-mist applications where synthetic media often fail. MICRO-AIRE is ideal for extended-surface pocket filters or deep-pleated rigid box filters.
Advantages
DELTA-AIRE ® glass air media has many advantages over electrostatically-charged synthetic media:
• maintain stable efficiency during the whole life of use (synthetic media will lose efficiency suddenly after electrets weaken or disappear)
• maintain stable pressure drop with at least twice longer life of use than that of most synthetic media (note: lab test result)
• meet UL1 (polyester backing) and UL2 (unbacked or glass screen backing). (synthetic media has much higher flammability)
• provide reliable mechanic filtration without electrets. (electrets synthetic media will make air and penetrated dust electronically charged, and make the whole clean room charged)
• DELTA-AIRE ® media fibers are made from glass of special formula and will melt in the blood or lung and cause no harm to human body. (fine synthetic fiber will stay in lung in a stable form)
• lower whole life cycle cost because of less installation labor cost, less upstream air flow/energy saving, and higher product first pass yield of customer.
