- Normally, the Certificate of Incorporation of a company limited by shares will be issued in 6 working days while the certificate of a company limited by guarantee will be issued in about 3 weeks. The Companies Registry will not send the Certificate of Incorporation to the applicant by post. Only the presenter or a representative (bearing an authorization letter) is eligible to collect the Certificate of Incorporation. An individual will need to produce his her Hong Kong Identity Card or passport whereas a body corporate authorized representative will have to produce the company chop.
