Molybdenum
Molybdenum is a silvery-white, hard, transition metal, which has the eighth-highest melting point of any element. Molybdenum burns only at temperatures above 600 C (1,112 F). It has the lowest heating expansion of any commercially used metal and it is widely used in alloys, electrodes and catalysts.
Varnl specializes in manufacturing high performance Molybdenum and its alloys for a good variety of customers and markets worldwide, available in diversified fabricated forms including sheet, foil, rod, wire, tube and etc.
1. Molybdenum plate, sheet, foil, strip, ribbon
Standards: ASTM B386
Size Available: Thick 0.02mm min * wide 1000mm max * Long 3000mm max
2. Molybdenum round rod, molybdenum rectangular bar
Standards: ASTM B387
Size Available: Outer Diameter 3mm ~ 350mm * Long 6000mm max
3. Molybdenum wire
Standards: ASTM B387
Size available: Outer Diameter 0.01mm min ~5mm
4. Molybdenum tube, pipe
Size available: wall thick 0.15~30mm * OD 3 ~400mm * Long 6000mm max
5. Featured Molybdenum alloys
Mo-Cu alloy (Molybdenum copper alloy)
Mo:Cu: 90:10
Mo:Cu: 80:20
Mo:Cu: 70:30
Mo:Cu: 60:40
Mo:Cu: 50:50
Mo-W (Molybdenum Tungsten alloy, W-Mo alloy)
Mo-30%W
Mo-45%W
TZM alloy (High Temperature Alloy, Mo99-Ti0.5-Zr0.08-C0.02)
TZM offers twice the strength of pure molybdenum at temperatures over 1300'C. The recrystallization temperature of TZM is approximately 250'C higher than molybdenum and it offers better weldability adequate ductility. The material is manufactured either by P/M or arc-cast processes. TZM is well suited to hot work applications because of its combination of high hot hardness, high thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion to hot work steels.
TZC alloy (Mo-Ti1.2-Zr0.3-C0.25)
Mo-Re (Molybdenum Rhenium alloy)
Mo-5%Re, Mo-41%Re, Mo-47%Re, Mo-50%Re
