Miniature transformers with maximum audio performance
Walters OEP, Oxford, have introduced the new Z218 range of miniature, Mu-metal shielded, PCB mounting audio transformers, measuring only 25x19x18mm high.
Miniature PCB Mounting 1:2 Tapped at 0.5 Microphone Transformer type Z21805
This device is intended for microphone input stages optimised for low source impedances (500W - 1kW), typical of low Rbb bipolar transistors and operational amplifiers such as the LT1028. It can also be used for line level inputs when used in current mode active input circuits.
Miniature PCB Mounting 1:1 Impedance Matching Transformer type Z21806
This device is intended for line level input stages using the current mode or "zero field" technique. This removes most of the artefacts normally associated with audio transformers whilst retaining the desirable galvanic isolation RFI blocking.
Miniature PCB Mounting 1: 0.50 + 0.50 Impedance Matching Transformer type Z21807.
This device is intended for line level input stages (10kW - 20kW bridging).
Miniature PCB Mounting 1:6 Tapped at 1:1.8 Microphone Transformer type Z21808
This device is intended for microphone input stages optimised for medium source impedance (~5kW), typical of medium Rbb bipolar transistors and operational amplifiers such as the NE5534. It can also be used for line level inputs when used in current mode active input circuits.
