Bipolar plate is one of the key components for Zn-Br Flow battery, the bipolar plates in the battery stack serve the purpose of anode electrode for one cell and a cathode electrode for the next cell, and isolate the negative and positive electrolyte in the flow battery.

The bipolar plate for Zn-Br flow battery is a kind of carbon plastic electrode which uses polyethylene as adhesive. The active coating material is added on one side(Br side) of our bipolar plate, which is used as anode materials. The other side(Zn side) of bipolar electrode is used as the cathode materials for the next cell unit. There are two different kinds of active materials coated on the Br-side surface to suit different requirements, and fiber-shape materials are added to improve mechanical strength and anti-deformation of bipolar electrodes.
