The purpose of the Energy Saver is an immediate decrease in energy consumption by controlling the thermostat constantly trying to reach unobtainable cool settings as well as controlling the heat settings resulting in a lowered utilities account.

The unit can also be linked to an occupancy sensor allowing it to switch off an air conditioner as well as the lighting in an unattended room. The Energy Saver has a voltage dip and spike safety feature with a percentage tolerance setting which protects the unit against poor electricity supply.
