Kaplan turbine is suitable for low head power plant of 20 to 30 meter head. By the structure, it can be categorized into fix bladed Kaplan and double regulated Kaplan. Fix blade Kaplan apply to middle and small capacity power plant with small water head and discharge variation. Double regulated Kaplan is suitable for big and medium capacity power plant with bigger water head and load variation.
