The sub rack of FOM480(FOM4800) multiplexer is made of aluminum alloy and 19 inches in width, 1U in height. It provides 7 slots for unit card, which consists of 2 optical card slots, 1 Ethernet card slot and 4 service unit slots. The 4 unit slots can be deployed with 4×E1 card, 4×V.35 card, video card or V.11/V.24 card.
The common service unit cards are:
4×E1 card: providing 4 E1 channels as per ITU_T G.703 recommendation.
4×V.35 card: providing 4 V.35 channels of N×64K as per ITU_T recommendation.
100M_LAN card: providing one 100M 10/100Base_T Ethernet channel.
This card has the fixed slot position and offers an independent 100Mbit/s bandwidth.
4E1LAN card: providing a 10/100Base_T channel with 8M line rate.
