Sinker bar, also named as sinking bar, is made of fine carbon-steel or fine alloy steel according to API Spec. 11B. Sinker bar is furnished with pin threads on each end. In general, sinker bar can be connected with polished rod on the upside of the oil well, also connected with sucker rod on the underside of the oil well.
