hastelloyC-2000
Hastelloy C-2000
Features and applications overview:
The alloy is designed for resisting more corrosive chemicals, including sulfur acid, hydrochloric acid, and hydrofluoric acid. Different to previously optimized Ni-Cr-Mo alloy which is only resistant to oxidizing or reducing acid, C-2000 alloy has corrosion resistance to both of them. The combined effects of molybdenum and copper ( respectively accounting for 16% and 1.6%) make the alloy has good corrosion resistance to reducing media. Meanwhile the high content of chromium (23% wt) ensures the resistance to the corrosion of oxidizing medium. This alloy can be used in reactors, heat exchangers, valves, pumps, etc.

The metallurgical structure of Hastelloy C-2000:
Hastelloy C-2000 is of the face-centered cubic lattice structure. Its chemical compositions ensure the stability and allergy resistance of the metallurgical structure.
The process performance and requirements of Hastelloy C-2000:
1, The post-weld stress relief treatment is inappropriate to Ni-Cr-Mo alloy at 650°C. Generally, there is no need to do heat treatment. If requiring for stress relieving, it is recommended to conduct absolute solution annealing followed by water quenching.
2, The alloys thermal processing range is 1080°C-900°C. The cooling method is water-cooling or other rapid cooling. To ensure the best performance of anti-corrosion, thermal processing should be carried out after the solution heat treatment.
