Lacquer tree native to China, introduced to Japan, Korea in 7th century, spread into Europe in 1874. The lacquer tree’s distribution in about latitude 21°～42°,longitude 90°～127°in China,the vertical distribution is generally between 100 to 2500 meters above sea level, the most from 400 to 2000 meters.
