Flexible interface types^$DCRS-5512GC provide 12 Gigabit SFP ports, 8 of them are Combo （SFP+RJ-45） ports, with which user can choose SFP OR RJ45 (10/100/1000M). For SFP ports, it support models of 275m to 120km. Users can choose different module according to different requirement and no need to buy a new switch.
^#Abundant protocols^$DCRS-5512GC supports STP/RSTP/MSTP (Spanning Tree Protocol/Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol/Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol), supports 802.1Q, 802.1p, 802.3ad, 802.3x, GVRP, DHCP, SNTP protocols. Support IGMP, DVMRP, PIM multi cast protocols. Support RIPv1/2, OSPF, HSRP routing protocols to work in different networks. Support IPv6.^#Comprehensive QoS^$DCRS-5512GC support DiffServ completely. 8 egress queues per port enable differentiated management of up to 8 traffic types. Asymmetric bidirectional rate-limiting, per port or per traffic class, preserves network bandwidth and allows maximum control of network resources.
Supports Strict Priority (SP), Shaped Weighted Round Robin (SWRR) and Weighted Round Robin（WRR）; 8 priority queues. Support CoS, DSCP, IP priority, port priority config, and modify DSCP、COS of data package.
Support traffic control by port, VLAN, DSCP, IP priority, ACL, and modify DSCP and IP priority, giving optimal performance to real-time applications such as voice and video.
^#Enhanced Security^$Port Security ensures access to a switch port based on MAC address.
IEEE 802.1X port-based access control ensures all users are authorized before being granted access to the network. User authentication is carried out using any standard-based RADIUS server.
Access Control Lists (ACLs) can be used to restrict access to sensitive network resources by denying packets based on source and destination MAC addresses, IP addresses, TCP/UDP ports.
SSL, Web Management Encryption, RADIUS and TACACS+ protect data communication and ensure data privacy.

^#Simple management^$DCRS-5512GC supports Simple Network Management Protocol （SNMP）v1/v2/v3, inband and outband. Supports Command Line Interface（CLI） and RMON (Remote Monitoring) v1, 1/2/3/9 groups of MIBs, they be managed by NMS.
DCRS-5512GC supports Secure Shell（SSH）, which will ensure the security of switch management and config.
They can be managed by general network management platform such as LinkManager of DCN, with unified management software.
