The R16-GD dual band selective repeater offers operators the flexible option of having both GSM900 and DCS1800 repeaters in one product. It is our compact medium power unit that will improve the coverage to a larger area. With its low profile and lightweight design, the unit can be neatly installed and is hidden from sight and will operate transparently.
Mobiles in a dead zone cannot connect to a BTS. Extending radio coverage into these dead zones using the R16-GD allows mobile phones to establish a connection. The R16-GD is connected via coaxial cables to the donor and service antennas. The donor antenna is placed outside a building where it has easy access to a BTS signal. The service antenna is installed indoor in the area that requires the signal extension.
