Sheepskin Coats, Shearling Coats

Sheepskin coats or shearling coats are made from lambskin or shearling from the leather of spring lambs which are the most supple and have the softest wool. Only select skins from Australia are used to make our sheepskin coats.

There's nothing more comforting than a good sheepskin coat in cold weather. The wind just doesn't get through sheepskin and the coats wool pile keeps in the body heat. The outer of the sheepskin coat or shearling coat is a soft suede leather. The inner is a warm layer of wool.

Sheepskin Coats (or shearling coats ?both have the same meaning in general) are natural skins (pelts) of lambs with the natural suede on one side and wool on the other side. This is often called a double faced pelt. There is the suede leather side, and the wooly side ?each needs its own special treatment ?processing and dying for a perfect skin.
