Founded by Iain Milnes in October 2001, Zultys leased its first office space at the end of 2001. With its headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, the heart of Silicon Valley, Zultys currently employs over 100 people and has presence in 57 countries. The company has attracted key talent from both the voice and data industries.
With a focus on becoming a premier supplier of communications solutions, Zultys introduced the world's first enterprise media exchange on 27 January 2003. Zultys has a road map for future product introductions and is rapidly building its presence and distribution channels worldwide.
Suppliers and customers recognize the benefits of deploying voice over IP. As a result, many suppliers have put products in the market place to meet this need. However, these products have been voice products with IP added (IP enabled PBXs) or they have been data products with speech added (voice enabled routers).
As a result of this disjointed approach, a company often needs to acquire many disparate boxes depending on what features and configurations are needed within the enterprise. The boxes might include media servers, media gateways, voice mail servers, ACDs, switches, routers, and firewalls. This does not create a truly converged solution but instead adds a great deal of complexity to management of the network.
The legacy PBX is dying - converged voice and data networks will ultimately be used by most enterprises. Businesses are demanding a simplified, cost-effective way to manage all their communications needs. Zultys exists to meet this demand.
