In April of 2001, we moved all production from Mexico to Taiwan. This move was due to the anti-business policies enacted by the Mexican government. After 3 months, our production capacity was returned to its original level. Since then, we have lowered cost and raised the quality of our masks and snorkels.
We have located all production in Taiwan because we can better control our quality from Taiwan. From the mold development, to parts manufacturing, to basic materials, to assembly and shipping, the quality found in Taiwan is superior to any Asian country.
Qbas specializes in producing innovative high quality mask and snorkels. We spend a lot of time on research and development. Some examples of our finest works are the Panoramic View series of masks, and our innovative dry snorkel. We have a continuous research program which works on products for the following year and the year after that. Because of the great interests in our products, and the many requests for product exclusivity, we are planning on increasing our product line by as many as 16 masks this next year alone. These masks are targeted to different markets and their respective customers.
Along with our fine products, we put a great deal of value on our business relationship with our customers. We put the customer's concern first and try our best to work toward their goals. We work towards building long histories with our customers.
